CONCEPTUAL EDITORIAL: URBAN MONOLOGUE
Photographer & Art Director: Viktoria Zavarnitsyna
Model: Yulia Yurchevskaya
A street-style art project inspired by 1960s European cinema and the concept of “flânerie"—the art of aimless city strolling. The series explores the romance of solitude within an urban landscape, celebrating the ability to slow down and capture the present moment. Through tactile and timeless anchors—a coffee cup, fresh flowers, and the morning paper—the project conveys a sense of personal freedom, the cinematic quality of everyday life, and a seamless harmony with the city space.
In this editorial, captured by photographer Viktoria Zavarnitsyna, the city transitions from a mere backdrop into an active co-author. My character experiences her perfect morning—light, dynamic, and grounded in simple rituals. The black-and-white frames by the monumental columns pay homage to classic Italian filmmaking, while the high-motion shots on the crosswalk and against weathered wooden doors introduce the rhythm of modern street photography. It is a manifesto of a woman who genuinely enjoys her own company, finding inspiration in the rustle of newsprint and transforming a routine walk into pure visual poetry.
