THE NARRATIVE:

They say the blood is the oldest ink, and the skin is the only paper that never lies.

In the village of the subconscious, no one remembered when the first stain appeared. It wasn’t an injury; it was an awakening. She stands before the lens, her back to the world, but her hands are already writing a story on her own face—a signature in crimson that the room begins to pulse with.

The floor creaks, not from her weight, but from the weight of the identities she is about to shed.

Step. Step.

There is that familiar, haunting delay. Her body moves, but her reflections lag behind, trapped in the layers of the “Red Archive.” One face is calm, almost saint-like in its pale silence. Another is smeared with the evidence of a life lived in the shadows. A third face emerges, eyes multiplying, watching from the distorted distance.

The light flickers nervously. It cannot decide which woman to fear more: the one who is bleeding, or the one who is smiling through the red.

“You always come back, ” the walls seem to whisper, their color shifting to the shade of old bones stained by years of secrets.

The air smells of wet stone and iron. She presses her hands to her ears, then to her eyes, as if trying to hold the fragments of herself together. But the spiral is already tightening. The room is breathing now—a slow, rhythmic contraction of the walls, synchronized with the pulsing of the neon red.

She looks into the camera. Too close. Her eyes are wide, unfocused, searching for the silhouette that stands behind the viewer—the tall, bent figure that has waited centuries for this ritual to complete.

“I woke up, ” she whispers. But the blood on her fingers says otherwise. It says she is still descending the stone steps, deeper into the spiral where the light is swallowed and the darkness finally smiles.

She is the woman who never wakes up, because the dream is more real than the morning.
