FORGOTTEN GODS

Yulia Yurchevskaya & Yulia Pazukhina

A project at the intersection of mythology and technological decadence. We resurrect the imagery of “Forgotten Gods"—beings with wings and masks—presenting them through the lens of a hardware glitch. This is a quest for the sacred within a world of digital chaos. Notably, all visual distortions were achieved through physical methods (light, lenses, films), making these “gods” tangible and present in our reality here and now.

In the 'Forgotten Gods' collaboration, Yulia Pazukhina and I create a space where ancient mysticism meets the aesthetic of error. These frames are like static on an old monitor, through which the faces of forgotten entities emerge. We deliberately rejected digital processing, creating glows and disintegrating forms directly in the lens. Wings and masks become more than mere props; they are symbols of a lost connection with the irrational. This is a live performance captured at the moment when light breaks, transforming into pure energy.
